Maria is an engineer, passionate and committed to ADB’s vision of a prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable Asia and the Pacific. Maria has over ten years’ experience in the water and sanitation sector and joined ADB in 2020, where she is responsible for processing and implementing ADB grant and loan projects and technical assistance programs across the Pacific.

Soudalay Souannavong is responsible for the urban development sector and administers several ADB-financed projects in the Lao PDR. She holds a Master of Business and Administration from Victoria University in Melbourne, Australia.

Macar has been providing support in the design and administration of ADB’s water and urban development projects in South Asia and Southeast Asia since 2011. She is also heavily involved in portfolio management of the Pacific and Southeast Asia team of water and urban development sector office. She joined ADB in 2008 where she assisted in the processing of energy and education projects in the Pacific.
