A New Waste Paradigm: Community-centered circular resource recovery
A New Waste Paradigm: Community-centered circular resource recovery
In this session, we explore the challenge statement: “How might we harness decentralized, circular solutions to transform waste into resources while protecting water systems and strengthening environmental resilience?”
Featuring Plastic Odyssey and ReurAsia, the session will showcase community-centered approaches to resource recovery across both organic and inorganic waste streams. We will explore how localized recycling technologies and decentralized waste-to-energy solutions can complement conventional waste management infrastructure, particularly where geography, scale, or limited resources present additional challenges.
Featured Technologies
Open-source, community-scale technologies that transform plastic waste into valuable products, enabling localized recycling and circular resource recovery.
Decentralized waste-to-energy and resource recovery solutions that convert organic waste into renewable energy and other valuable resources.
