This training course is offered by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in collaboration with Deltares, Dr. Craig Hart of Johns Hopkins University, and Andreas Biermann of Globalfields. 

Water entities across Asia and the Pacific are seeking solutions to decarbonize, decentralize and digitalize how water is used, treated, and accessed. Yet challenges such as budget constraints, risk aversion, and limited access to in-country expertise often prevent the adoption of innovation.

The CASTT Adaptation Academy aims to enhance the ability of developing countries to conduct vulnerability and adaptation assessments, prepare and report, in timely manner, information resulting from such assessments and the implementation of national adaptation actions, including their Nationally Determined Contributions  for their national communications, biennial update reports, and biennial transparency reports under the measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) arrangements of the Convention and the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF) of the Paris Agreement.

The effects of climate change are causing significant social and economic issues throughout the Asia and Pacific region. Digital technologies are proving crucial in building climate and disaster resilience and enhancing environmental sustainability.
