STRENGTHENING WASH SYSTEMS IN ASIA AND THE PACIFIC

The Asian Development Bank (ADB), in collaboration with IRC’s WASH Systems Academy team, has developed an ADB-specific training module designed to enhance the capabilities of ADB staff, Implementing Agencies (IAs), and Executing Agencies (EAs) in the areas of Water, Sanitation, Hygiene (WASH), and Health. This initiative aims to foster a comprehensive understanding and practical application of systems approaches, as well as to cultivate WASH systems champions within these organizations. The training is intended to equip ADB’s executing and implementing agencies, along with staff, with the knowledge and skills necessary to strengthen and scale up WASH systems for sustainable service delivery.

This course was developed with support from the Government of Japan. The Japan Fund for Prosperous and Resilient Asia and the Pacific (JFPR) provided funding through the ADB Technical Assistance for COVID-19 Infection Prevention and Control via an Integrated Water, Sanitation, Hygiene, and Health Approach, which enabled the creation of this course.
